Integrations are advised to use the /permissions endpoint to determine if the user is allowed to use SideShift.ai.

Proxying User Requests

SideShift.ai does not allow proxying user requests. This means that the user should either directly interact with the SideShift.ai REST API, or if the API requests are sent from the integration's own server, the x-user-ip header must be set to the end-user IP address.

The x-user-ip Header

The x-user-ip header helps SideShift.ai identify the original source of the request, which is important for security reasons and ensuring that the service is not being used by users in restricted countries. It’s crucial that this header is set correctly by integrations to prevent any issues with using the API.
